About Me
My Background
Graduate of art education at UBC in 1983. Received the Helen Pitt Graduate Award and the BCIT Bursary for student teachers. Taught art for 16 years in the public school system. Group shows include the White Rock Gallery, Robson Square Media Center, Uvic Maltwood Gallery, Cowichan Valley, Granville Island, UBC art gallery, Sooke Fine Arts, Sidney Art Show and Coast Collective Gallery
Virginia received several Provincial grants to create group murals for display in the Vancouver Planetarium, Surrey Art Gallery and the Surrey United Church.
In 2000 she retired from teaching (primarily art) . Sixteen Years in the Public School system.

My Medium
I work in acrylics, I layer the paint to create depth, texture and brightness.
My Inspiration
I'm a process painter and as a colorist I am inspired by beauty and order.
